Final preparations were being made Tuesday afternoon for the first pouring of concrete for a new bridge on Airport Road Wednesday morning. The bridge is a joint project of the City of Cabool and Burdine Township, following the closing of the bridge earlier this month by Missouri Department of Transportation after an inspection determined it to be unsafe. Cost of replacing the structure is estimated at $30,000 for materials. With cooperative weather, workers estimate the crossing might be reopened sometime next month. (Enterprise photo/Whittaker)
