Breakfast at Cabool Elementary School Tuesday was a colorful mix of green eggs (hard-cooked) and ham in celebration of the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, known as Dr. Seuss, the author of such books as Green Eggs and Ham. Schools around the nation observe his birthday as a way to draw attention to the critical role of reading in the lives of children and adults. Debra Cox, dressed as the Dr. Seuss character Cat in the Hat, assisted students in peeling their green eggs and is shown with Hunter Sparks, left, and Tyson Hedricks. (Enterprise photo/Whittaker)
